O Cádavo

O Cádavo is a locality in the municipality of Baleira, in the province of Lugo, Galicia, situated in the valley terrain of the central Lugo interior on the Camino Primitivo route between A Fonsagrada and Lugo city. The town functions as the main service centre for the surrounding rural area, with accommodation and the facilities typical of a small Galician market town.

The surrounding landscape is the green enclosed valley terrain of the Lugo interior, with dairy cattle pasture, mixed woodland, and the traditional stone farmhouses and hórreo granaries of rural Galicia. The Camino Primitivo passes through O Cádavo on the long interior stage connecting the mountain terrain with the Roman city of Lugo.
