Description
Manciet is a commune in the Gers department, situated in the Bas-Armagnac zone on the Via Podiensis route between Eauze and Nogaro. The village sits in the heart of the Bas-Armagnac appellation, where old baco blanc and ugni blanc vines on sandy soil produce the raw wine for Armagnac distillation.
The surrounding landscape is the rolling sandy terrain of the Bas-Armagnac with old forest, vine rows, and traditional Gascon farmhouses. For pilgrims, Manciet provides modest services on the wine-country stage of the Gers section.
