Escamplero

Escamplero is a small locality in the municipality of Las Regueras, in Asturias, situated on elevated terrain above the Nalón river valley on the Camino Primitivo route approaching Grado. The elevated position gives the village commanding views over the valley and the Grado basin below.

The descent from Escamplero toward Grado is one of the more visually rewarding sections of the early Camino Primitivo, with the town visible below and the Picos de Europa sometimes visible on the southern horizon on clear days.
