A Calle

A Calle is a small locality in the province of A Coruña, Galicia, on the Camino Frances in the penultimate stage between Arzúa and O Pedrouzo. The name means the street or lane, a simple toponym describing the settlement form as a single-street hamlet.

The hamlet has a compact stone character in the enclosed green terrain of the final A Coruña stages, with oak and eucalyptus woodland pressing close to the path. The single-street form typical of many Galician linear hamlets is visible in the arrangement of farmhouses along the Camino path.
