Pradeda

Pradeda is a small locality in the province of Lugo, Galicia, on the Camino Primitivo route in the central Lugo interior between O Cádavo and Castroverde. The name may derive from prado, meaning meadow, combined with a stony terrain suffix, indicating a meadow on rocky or gravelly ground.

The setting is the enclosed green valley terrain typical of the Lugo interior, with dairy pasture, mixed woodland, and traditional Galician farmsteads in the surrounding landscape. For pilgrims, Pradeda is a passage point on the long interior stage through the Lugo province.
