Munitibar

Munitibar-Arbatzegi Gerrikaitz is a municipality in the province of Bizkaia in the Basque Country, situated in the valleys between the Zenarruza monastery and the Oka river basin that drains toward Gernika. The municipality has a quiet agricultural character with traditional Basque caserio farmhouses distributed across the green rolling landscape.

The terrain here is the enclosed, intensely green valley system characteristic of the Bizkaia interior, where beech and oak woodland covers the upper slopes and pasture and maize occupy the valley floors. The Camino del Norte passes through Munitibar on the long inland traverse between the coast and Gernika.
