Description

Edit

Hospital de Bruma is the site of a ruined medieval pilgrim hospital in the municipality of Mesón do Vento, in the province of A Coruña, Galicia. The hospital occupied the strategic position at the convergence of the Ferrol and A Coruña branches of the Camino Inglés, providing shelter for pilgrims from both cities as they joined the shared route toward Santiago de Compostela.

The ruins are modest, but the site carries significant historical importance as a documented waypoint on the medieval pilgrimage infrastructure. The convergence at Bruma, confirmed by the presence of the hospital, makes this one of the more historically meaningful junction points on any Galician Camino route.

A modern waymarker and a small commemorative cross typically mark the site for contemporary pilgrims.
