Descripción
Barcellina is a small locality in the municipality of Navia or the adjacent western Asturian area, situated on the clifftop terrain west of the Navia estuary. The settlement occupies the exposed Atlantic clifftop of the western Asturian coast on the section approaching the border with Galicia.
The surrounding terrain is the open western Asturian coastal clifftop: limestone formations, Atlantic heath, and the Bay of Biscay on the northern horizon. The Camino del Norte follows this clifftop section on the long final approach to the Eo estuary at Ribadeo, which marks the Asturias-Galicia border.
