A Canosa

A Canosa is a small locality in the municipality of Cee, in the province of A Coruña, Galicia, on the coastal route between Lires and Fisterra. The settlement sits on the clifftop terrain of the Costa da Morte in the final stretch of the coastal walk approaching the cape at Fisterra.

The landscape around A Canosa is the typical Costa da Morte clifftop environment: granite headlands, Atlantic heath, and the ocean on the western horizon. The route here is remote and wild, passing through one of the least populated sections of the Galician Atlantic coast before arriving at the lighthouse and the cape itself.
