Xanrozo

Xanrozo is a small locality in the province of A Coruña, Galicia, on the Camino Inglés route between Betanzos and the approach to A Coruña or the Santiago corridor. The name may derive from an archaic Galician personal or terrain toponym. The settlement has a quiet rural character in the enclosed green valley landscape typical of this part of the A Coruña province.

The surrounding terrain combines dairy cattle pasture, mixed woodland, and the traditional stone farmhouses and hórreos of Galician rural settlement. For pilgrims, Xanrozo is a passage point in the agricultural interior between the estuarine towns and the final approaches to Santiago.
