Descripción
Santa Mariña is a civil parish in the province of A Coruña, Galicia, on the Camino de Fisterra and Muxía routes in the interior of the A Coruña province. The parish is dedicated to Saint Marina, a popular saint across Galicia and northern Portugal, typically associated with rural communities and small parish churches.
The parish church is the focal point of the settlement, set in the typical Galician interior landscape of smallholder cultivation, granite farmhouses, and mixed woodland. The surrounding terrain is part of the long plateau section between Negreira and the Atlantic coast approaches.
