Maslacq

Maslacq is a small commune in the Pyrenees-Atlantiques department, situated on the Beam plain between Arthez-de-Beam and Orthez on the Via Podiensis. The village has a quiet agricultural character in the enclosed green landscape typical of the Atlantic Pyrenees foothills, where hedged pastures, maize fields, and the occasional half-timbered Beam farmhouse define the rural setting.

The route through Maslacq follows the gentler terrain of the valley floor after the dramatic ridge walk above, before approaching the Gave de Pau crossing at Orthez.
