Embalse de Beche

Embalse de Beche is a reservoir in the province of A Coruña, Galicia, situated in the rolling forested terrain of the interior on the Camino Inglés route between Betanzos and the Santiago approach. The dam impounds a small tributary of the Galician watershed, forming a body of still water surrounded by eucalyptus and oak woodland.

For pilgrims, the reservoir provides one of the more distinctive landscape moments on this otherwise pastoral interior section, with the still water offering wide reflections of the forested hillsides. The surrounding terrain is the typical A Coruña coast hinterland: humid, green, and enclosed.
