Carrigueiros

Carrigueiros is a small locality in the province of Lugo, Galicia, on the Camino route between Lugo and the approach to Arzúa. The name may derive from a local terrain feature or family toponym. The setting is the enclosed rolling green landscape of the Lugo interior, with the typical combination of dairy cattle pasture, mixed woodland, and traditional stone farmhouses.

The route through Carrigueiros passes through the pastoral interior of Lugo province on the long stage connecting the Roman city with the later Galician stages toward Santiago de Compostela.
