Bedures

Bedures is a small locality in the municipality of Salas or Allande, in Asturias, situated on the ascending terrain of the Camino Primitivo as the route climbs toward the mountain pass approaching Pola de Allande. The locality falls in the more exposed, higher-elevation terrain where the enclosed valley character gives way to open hillside with gorse, heather, and chestnut.

The elevated position on the mountain approach offers the wider views typical of this section of the Primitivo, one of the physically most demanding but scenically most rewarding stages of the route, as the terrain shifts from lush valley to upland heath and mountain pasture.
