Vilouriz

Vilouriz is a small locality in the province of A Coruña, Galicia, on the Camino route between the Lugo provincial boundary and Melide. The name combines vilar, a Galician variant of village or farmstead, with a local topographic or family suffix.

The setting marks the transition from the Lugo interior landscape into the A Coruña province, where the green valley terrain continues but begins to show the character of the final Galician corridor heading toward Santiago. Traditional stone farmhouses, hórreos, and mixed woodland continue in the surrounding terrain.
