Sivil

Sivil is a small locality in the province of Lugo, Galicia, on the northern Samos route variant of the Camino Frances in the Oribio valley. The hamlet has a dispersed farmstead character in the enclosed valley terrain.

The surrounding landscape is the river valley corridor connecting Samos to Sarria, with oak woodland, pasture, and the Oribio river providing the dominant landscape elements. The route follows the valley floor here in a pleasant, sheltered corridor.

For pilgrims on the Samos route, Sivil is a passage point in the final valley stages before the two Triacastela route variants converge at Sarria.
