Reliegos

Reliegos is a municipality in the province of León, Castilla y León, on the Camino Frances between Villamarco and Mansilla de las Mulas. The village sits on the flat Leonese plain and is known among pilgrims primarily for the concentrated cluster of bars and albergues that make it a lively rest point on an otherwise quiet stage.

The village itself is a compact farming community on the cereal plain, with adobe and stone buildings typical of the León interior. Its significance on the Camino is largely logistical: the first full services available for many kilometres.

The surrounding landscape is the open plain with wide skies and the distant profile of the hills approaching Mansilla de las Mulas beginning to appear on the horizon.
