Pedrulha

Pedrulha is a civil parish in the municipality of Coimbra, in the Coimbra district, situated on the flat terrain north of the city centre where the Mondego plain begins to open toward the Aveiro district. The parish is effectively part of the northern suburban fringe of Coimbra, with mixed residential and agricultural land use.

The area has a functional character without prominent historic monuments, though older stone farmhouses persist among the newer residential development. The landscape here is flat to gently undulating, with market gardens, cereal fields, and the poplar-lined watercourses typical of the Mondego basin.

For pilgrims on the Camino Português, Pedrulha falls on the exit from Coimbra northward, in the flat suburban and agricultural stretch before the route enters the more rural Coimbra-Aveiro corridor.
