Mañeru

Mañeru is a small municipality in Navarra, situated on a low hill between Puente la Reina and Cirauqui on the Camino Frances. The village has a compact stone character with narrow streets climbing the hillside to a small central square and the parish church of San Pedro.

The surrounding landscape is the open Navarrese wine country, with vine plots and wheat fields on the rolling plain visible from the village. The path between Mañeru and Cirauqui follows a ridge that offers wide views over the surrounding agricultural plateau.

For pilgrims, Mañeru is a pleasant pause with the visual reward of open views and the first glimpse of the hill town of Cirauqui ahead.
