Gorolfe

Gorolfe is a small locality in the province of Lugo, Galicia, on the Samos northern route variant of the Camino Frances in the Oribio valley between Samos and Sarria. The hamlet has a quiet stone farmhouse character on the valley slope above the river.

The surrounding terrain is the enclosed river valley woodland of the Oribio corridor, with oak and chestnut on the slopes and the river running below. The valley here has the lush, enclosed quality typical of the Lugo river corridors.

For pilgrims, Gorolfe is a passage point on the pleasant Oribio valley stage between Samos and Sarria, the river corridor providing a sheltered and visually rewarding walk.
