Casazorrina

Casazorrina is a small locality in the municipality of Salas, in Asturias, on the Camino Primitivo route heading toward the town of Salas. The name may derive from casa, meaning house, combined with zorrina, possibly related to zorra, the Asturian word for fox, suggesting a farmstead associated with foxes in the local woodland.

The settlement has a dispersed farmstead character in the forested and pastoral terrain of western Asturias. The surrounding landscape combines eucalyptus and oak woodland on the steeper slopes with green pasture in the sheltered valleys.
