Villamartin Grande

Villamartin Grande is a locality in the province of Lugo, Galicia, situated in the Masma valley terrain on the inland Camino del Norte route between Ribadeo and Mondoñedo. As the Grande counterpart to Villamartin Pequeño nearby, it represents a slightly larger version of the typical dispersed Galician rural farmstead settlement pattern.

The surrounding landscape is the enclosed green valley terrain of the Lugo interior, with dairy cattle pasture, eucalyptus and oak woodland, and the stone farmhouse and hórreo combinations typical of rural Galicia. The valley corridor here maintains the lush humid quality of the Atlantic interior throughout the year.
