Vila Nova da Telha

Vila Nova da Telha is a civil parish in the municipality of Maia, in the Porto district. It occupies residential and agricultural terrain on the outer northern fringe of the Porto metropolitan area, where smallholdings, eucalyptus plantation, and newer housing development coexist in the typical patchwork of the Maia municipality.

The parish has a dispersed layout without a prominent historic core. For pilgrims on the Camino Português coastal variant, Vila Nova da Telha is a passage point in the transition from the dense suburban belt north of Porto toward the more open terrain approaching Vila do Conde.
