Descripción
Viadeiro is a small locality in the province of A Coruña, Galicia, on the Camino Inglés route. The name derives from the Latin viaria or viadeiro, meaning a road or wayfarers path, a toponym type that often marks sites on ancient road networks that were in continuous use from the Roman period through the medieval era.
The locality occupies the rolling green terrain typical of the A Coruña coast interior, where the Camino Inglés crosses the valleys and ridges between the Eume and Mandeo rivers. The road name suggests this was a recognised waypoint on the historic route network.
