O Pereiro

O Pereiro is a small locality in the municipality of Fene or the adjacent Cabanas area, in the province of A Coruña, Galicia, on the Camino Inglés route between Fene and Pontedeume. The name derives from pereira, the Galician word for pear tree, indicating that pear cultivation once characterised the local farmland.

The surrounding terrain is the enclosed green valley landscape of the A Coruña interior, with mixed pasture, woodland, and the traditional Galician farmsteads typical of this section of the Camino Inglés.
