Nueva

Nueva is a locality in the municipality of Llanes, in Asturias, situated on the coastal terrain of the Camino del Norte between Celorio and Ribadesella. The name simply means new, a common Iberian toponym indicating a settlement established on previously uncultivated or recently cleared land.

The village has a modest residential and agricultural character, with traditional stone farmhouses and the enclosed green landscape typical of the Asturian coast interior. The nearby clifftop offers access to the Atlantic coast views that characterise this section of the route.
