Lloriana

Lloriana is a small locality in Asturias on the Camino Primitivo route heading west from Oviedo. The settlement sits in the enclosed green hill terrain that begins immediately beyond the city, where the urban fringe gives way to the lush Asturian interior.

The surrounding landscape has the humid Atlantic character of central Asturias: oak and chestnut woodland on the steeper slopes, green pasture on the valley floors, and stone farmhouses with hórreos distributed across the hillsides. The route through Lloriana forms part of the first genuinely rural stage of the Camino Primitivo after leaving Oviedo.
