Descripción
Gueima is a small locality in the province of A Coruña, Galicia, on the Camino de Fisterra and Muxía routes in the interior plateau. The name may derive from a Galician toponym related to burning or a personal name. The settlement occupies the forested and agricultural terrain of the central plateau section of the Fisterra route.
The surrounding landscape has the mixed eucalyptus plantation, pine forest, and smallholder agricultural character typical of the A Coruña interior at this elevation. The route here passes through a succession of small hamlets before the terrain begins the final descent toward the Atlantic coast approaches.
