Descripción
Cabanas is a municipality in the province of A Coruña, Galicia, situated at the mouth of the River Eume on the eastern bank of its estuary, directly opposite the historic town of Pontedeume. The locality has a beach and estuarine setting, with the wide mouth of the Eume giving it a spacious, waterfront character.
The views from Cabanas across the estuary to Pontedeume, with its medieval bridge and the hilltop castle of the Andrade family, are among the more scenic moments of the Camino Inglés. Pilgrims typically cross the Eume by bridge to enter Pontedeume from Cabanas.
