Description

Edit

Berducedo is a locality in the municipality of Grandas de Salime, in Asturias, on the Camino Primitivo route between the high sierra and the Navia river valley. The village has the church of San Pelayo de Berducedo, a Romanesque structure with medieval fabric, which adds architectural interest to what is otherwise an isolated mountain community.

The setting commands views over the upper Navia valley and the Grandas de Salime reservoir from its elevated position on the descent from the sierra. The transition from the exposed mountain terrain to the enclosed valley environment is visible from Berducedo, giving it a dramatic viewpoint on the final Asturian section of the Primitivo.
