Ansião

Ansião is a town and municipality in the Leiria district of central Portugal, situated in the forested hill country between the Serra de Aire and the Coimbra district border. The town serves as the main service centre for the surrounding rural area, with a traditional market function and local administrative presence.

The surrounding landscape is defined by pine and eucalyptus forest on the ridges, smallholder cultivation in the valleys, and the watercourses that feed into the upper Nabão basin. The town has a quiet traditional character without prominent historic monuments.
