A Calle (Ordes)

A Calle is a small locality in the municipality of Ordes, in the province of A Coruña, Galicia, on the Camino Inglés route heading south toward Sigüeiro and Santiago. Like A Rúa, the name simply means the street or the lane, a toponym indicating a settlement defined by its principal road rather than any particular monument or landscape feature.

The locality has a quiet residential and agricultural character in the rolling terrain of the Ordes municipality, on the long interior stage between the Bruma junction and the final approaches to Santiago. Traditional Galician farmhouses and hórreo granaries characterise the surrounding landscape.
