Community Guidelines

Last updated: October 14, 2026

SuperCamino is a privately owned community for people walking, planning or remembering the Camino de Santiago. These Community Guidelines (“Guidelines”) are part of our Terms of Service and are binding on everyone who uses SuperCamino. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.

  1. Authority

SuperCamino is operated by Authentic Experiences LLC. We decide, in our sole discretion, what content and conduct is permitted on SuperCamino, how these Guidelines are interpreted, and what action to take in any case. Our decisions are final. There is no right to appeal or challenge a decision except where applicable law expressly requires it.

The rules below are examples. They are not a complete list. We may remove content or act against any member for conduct that is not listed here if we consider it harmful, disruptive, off-topic or inconsistent with the purpose or spirit of SuperCamino. We may update these Guidelines at any time as the community evolves.

  1. Keep it about the Camino

SuperCamino exists for conversations about the Camino: planning, walking, routes, stages, accommodation, gear, training, logistics, history, culture, the people you meet and what the journey means to you. Content must be relevant to the Camino and to the area of SuperCamino where it is posted. We may remove off-topic content at any time.

  1. No political content

Political content is prohibited anywhere on SuperCamino, including public areas, groups, forums, comments, reviews, profiles and private messages. There are many other places online for political discussion. SuperCamino is not one of them.

“Political content” means any content that discusses, promotes, opposes, criticizes, debates or mocks:

  • political parties, candidates, elections, referendums or campaigns;
  • elected officials, heads of state, governments or political figures, past or present;
  • legislation, government policy or political ideologies;
  • wars, territorial disputes, separatist movements or other geopolitical conflicts; or
  • any country, nation or people as a whole, including content that speaks badly of any country or its leaders. This applies equally to your own country and your own leaders.

Political symbols, slogans, flags used as political statements, and links to political material are included.

Practical, neutral information that a pilgrim needs is permitted, for example a transport strike that affects your stage, entry or visa requirements, public holidays, or local rules that apply to pilgrims. We decide in our sole discretion whether content crosses the line. If in doubt, leave it out.

  1. Respect other people

The following are prohibited:

  • bullying, harassment, intimidation, threats, insults or personal attacks;
  • stalking, including following, tracking or repeatedly contacting a person who has not welcomed it, online or in person;
  • doxxing, meaning sharing someone’s private information, such as their home address, phone number, real-time location or travel plans, without their consent;
  • hate speech, or content that demeans or discriminates against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or any other characteristic;
  • dating, romantic or sexual approaches to other members;
  • impersonating any person or organization, or creating fake or duplicate accounts; and
  • posting photos or videos of identifiable people without their consent.
  1. Religion

The Camino is a pilgrimage and many members walk it for spiritual reasons. You are welcome to share your own spiritual experience of the Camino. Proselytizing, preaching, recruiting for any religious group, and debating or attacking religious beliefs are prohibited.

  1. Commercial activity

The following are prohibited unless we have given you written permission:

  • spam, chain messages, or repetitive or unsolicited messages;
  • advertising, self-promotion or links to your own products, services, channels or websites;
  • businesses, including albergues, hotels, tour operators and services, promoting themselves anywhere other than through their own business listing as permitted by Section 25 of our Terms of Service;
  • buying, selling or trading goods or services; and
  • organizing in-person events or gatherings other than through features we provide for that purpose, and organizing any paid or commercial event.
  1. Content standards

The following are prohibited:

  • sexual, pornographic or sexually suggestive content;
  • violent, graphic or shocking content;
  • content that promotes self-harm, dangerous activities or illegal drugs;
  • AI-generated or manipulated images, video or text presented as real;
  • false or misleading information, including fake reviews and false information about routes, accommodation or safety;
  • content that infringes anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
  • malware, phishing, scams or fraudulent schemes; and
  • content that is illegal or encourages illegal activity.
  1. Reviews

Reviews must reflect your own genuine experience. Do not post reviews of a business you own, work for or are connected to, reviews in exchange for payment or benefits, or reviews of places you have not visited.

  1. Platform integrity

Do not scrape, crawl or copy content or data from SuperCamino, use it to train AI models, attempt to access accounts or areas you are not authorized to access, interfere with the operation or security of the Services, or try to get around any action we have taken, including by creating a new account after a suspension or ban.

  1. Enforcement

We may take any action described in Section 4 of our Terms of Service, at any time, with or without warning and for any reason, including warning you, editing or replacing your content, removing content, restricting features, and suspending or permanently banning your account. We are not required to follow any particular sequence of steps.

  1. Reporting and blocking

If you see content or behavior that breaks these Guidelines, use the report tools or email legal [at] supercamino.com. You can block members you do not want to interact with. We review reports at our discretion and may not tell you the outcome.

If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. The emergency number in Spain, Portugal, France and throughout the European Union is 112.
