These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Authentic Experiences LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“SuperCamino”, “we”, “us” or “our”). SuperCamino is a brand operated by Authentic Experiences LLC. These Terms govern your access to and use of our websites, our mobile applications, and all related features, content and services (together, the “Services”).
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY. THEY CONTAIN A BINDING ARBITRATION AGREEMENT AND A CLASS ACTION WAIVER (SECTION 17) THAT AFFECT HOW DISPUTES ARE RESOLVED, AND THEY GIVE US SOLE AND FINAL AUTHORITY OVER THE SERVICES, YOUR ACCOUNT AND ALL CONTENT (SECTIONS 4 AND 7).
By creating an account, checking a box indicating your agreement, or accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to the policies incorporated into them, including our Community Guidelines, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms we show you for specific features such as paid subscriptions (together, the “Policies”). If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1.1 Age. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the members’ areas of the Services. By using the Services you represent that you are at least 18. If we learn or reasonably believe that a user is under 18, we will close the account.
1.2 Real identity. You must register under your real name and provide accurate, current and complete information, and keep it up to date. You may hold only one account. You may not create an account on behalf of another person, impersonate anyone, or use a false identity.
1.3 Prior removal. You may not create or use an account if we have previously suspended or terminated any account of yours, unless we have given you our express written permission.
1.4 Legal compliance. You may not use the Services if doing so is prohibited by the laws that apply to you.
You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials confidential. If you sign in through a third-party service, your use of that service is also governed by its terms. Notify us immediately at legal [at] supercamino.com of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss caused by unauthorized use of your account.
SuperCamino is a privately owned online platform for people interested in the Camino de Santiago. We may add, change or remove features at any time. Access to the Services is a privilege that we extend at our discretion. It is not a right.
4.1 Sole and final authority. We own and operate the Services and have sole, absolute and final authority over every aspect of them, including who may use them, what content appears on them, and how our Policies are interpreted and enforced. Every decision we make under these Terms is made in our sole discretion and is final and binding.
4.2 No right to appeal. Except where applicable law expressly requires otherwise, there is no right to appeal, review, challenge or dispute any moderation, enforcement or account decision we make, and we have no obligation to reconsider any decision, to explain our reasons, or to enter into any correspondence about a decision.
4.3 Enforcement actions. At any time, for any reason or for no reason, with or without notice, and without liability to you, we may:
We are not required to follow any particular sequence of steps, to issue a warning before taking action, or to treat similar situations in the same way. Our failure to act in one case does not limit our right to act in another.
4.4 Statement of reasons where required. If you are located in a jurisdiction whose law requires us to inform you of the reasons for a restriction we place on your content or account, we will provide the information that law requires. Doing so does not create any right of appeal or any other right beyond what that law requires.
4.5 Moderators. We may appoint other people to moderate the Services on our behalf. Their actions are taken under our authority and are subject to these Terms.
4.6 No rights except as stated. Except as expressly stated in these Terms or as required by applicable law that cannot be waived by contract, you have no right to use the Services or to any particular feature, content, outcome, level of service or explanation. Features that let you export, download, delete or control your information are provided at our discretion, except to the extent applicable law requires us to provide them.
Your use of the Services must comply with our Community Guidelines, which are part of these Terms. In summary, and without limiting the Community Guidelines, you may not use the Services to:
The Community Guidelines describe examples of prohibited conduct. They are not exhaustive. We may act against conduct that is not specifically listed.
6.1 Ownership. You keep whatever ownership rights you have in the content and data you post, upload, create or submit to the Services (“Your Content”).
6.2 License to us. By submitting Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid-up, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable and sublicensable (through multiple tiers) license to host, store, copy, reproduce, adapt, modify, edit, translate, publish, publicly display, publicly perform, distribute, create derivative works from, and otherwise use Your Content, in any media now known or later developed, for any purpose connected with operating, developing, promoting and marketing SuperCamino and our business. This includes, without limitation, using Your Content as templates, examples or suggestions for other users, in media generated by the Services, and in advertising and promotional material, with or without attribution to you. The license continues after you delete Your Content or your account, except that we will not continue to identify you by name in new marketing material after your account is deleted.
6.3 Your promises. You represent and warrant that you own or have all rights necessary to submit Your Content and to grant the license above, that Your Content does not infringe or violate anyone’s rights (including copyright, privacy and publicity rights), and that you have the consent of any identifiable person who appears in Your Content.
6.4 No obligation to host. We have no obligation to publish, keep, back up or make available any of Your Content and may remove it at any time. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything you want to keep.
6.5 Visibility. Some content is visible only to signed-in members, some may be visible to the public, and some features let you choose who can see what you post. Visibility settings depend on the feature and may change over time. Content posted to public areas, and content you choose to make public, may be seen, copied and shared by anyone.
We may, but are not obligated to, access, review, scan, monitor, retain and disclose any content on the Services, including private messages between members, for any purpose relating to the operation, safety, security, moderation or legal compliance of the Services. Do not use private messages for anything you would not want us to read. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
You may report content or members you believe violate these Terms and block other members, using the tools we provide. Reports help us, but we decide in our sole discretion whether and how to act on any report. We have no obligation to act on a report or to tell you the outcome.
Information on the Services comes from a mix of sources, including open data sources, public and official sources, our own research and user submissions. It may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. You use it entirely at your own risk. See Section 24 (Safety & Accuracy).
Walking, cycling or otherwise travelling the Camino involves physical exertion, weather, traffic, terrain and other risks, including serious injury and death. Some features may help you see where other members are or contact or meet them. We do not screen, vet or perform background checks on users, and we do not supervise any meeting between users. You alone are responsible for your safety, your decisions and your interactions with other people, online and in person. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you assume all risks arising from your travel, your physical activity and your interactions with others.
The Services include links to and integrations with third-party websites and services, including accommodation booking sites. Some of these links are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you make a booking or purchase. We do not control and are not responsible for third parties, their content, products, services, prices or policies. Your dealings with them are solely between you and them. See Section 27 (Affiliate Disclosure).
If you claim, manage or advertise a business listing, Section 25 (Business Listings) also applies to you.
We may offer paid features, including a “Pro” subscription. Any additional terms we show you at the time of purchase also apply. All fees are non-refundable except as stated in those terms or required by law.
The Services, including their design, software, text, graphics, maps, logos, the SuperCamino name, and all content we provide (excluding Your Content), are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for your own personal, non-commercial use. We may revoke this license at any time. Some data may be subject to third-party licenses, including open data licenses.
You may not, without our written permission: copy, scrape, crawl, harvest or systematically download content or data from the Services; use the Services or their content to train any artificial intelligence or machine learning model; frame, mirror or republish the Services; reverse engineer the Services; interfere with their security or operation; or use any automated means to access them.
If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them freely without any obligation to you.
16.1 No warranties. THE SERVICES AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY OR AVAILABILITY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY INFORMATION ON THEM IS ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
16.2 Limitation of liability. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AUTHENTIC EXPERIENCES LLC AND ITS OWNERS, MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, MODERATORS, AFFILIATES AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL OR OPPORTUNITY, OR FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING FROM YOUR TRAVEL OR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY OR FROM YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER USERS OR THIRD PARTIES, HOWEVER CAUSED AND UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM AND (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS (US$50).
16.3 Where the law does not allow this. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent the law allows, and nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
17.1 Informal resolution first. Before starting any claim, you agree to contact us at legal [at] supercamino.com and try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 60 days.
17.2 Binding individual arbitration. Except as stated in Section 17.4, any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services (“Dispute”) will be resolved exclusively by final and binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be conducted by a single arbitrator, in English, and may be conducted by video conference or on written submissions. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this Section 17. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.
17.3 Class action waiver. YOU AND WE AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING DISPUTES AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims of more than one person or preside over any class or representative proceeding. If this class action waiver is found unenforceable as to any claim, that claim must be severed and heard in court, and not in arbitration.
17.4 Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual claim in a small claims court with jurisdiction. Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in court to protect intellectual property rights or to stop unauthorized access to or misuse of the Services.
17.5 Jury trial waiver. To the extent any Dispute is heard in court, you and we waive any right to a jury trial.
17.6 Governing law and venue. These Terms and any Dispute are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to Section 17.2, the state and federal courts located in Wyoming have exclusive jurisdiction over any Dispute, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction.
17.7 Consumers in the EU, UK and elsewhere. If you are a consumer living in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country whose law gives you mandatory protections, nothing in these Terms deprives you of those protections, including any right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence where that right cannot be waived.
17.8 Time limit. To the extent permitted by law, any Dispute must be brought within one year after it arises, or it is permanently barred.
You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Authentic Experiences LLC and its owners, members, managers, employees, contractors, moderators and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Services, your interactions with other users, your travel, or your breach of these Terms or any law.
You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time (see our Delete Account page). We may suspend or terminate your access at any time under Section 4. On termination, your license to use the Services ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Sections 4, 6.2, 6.3, 9, 10, 11, 14 to 21 and 24 to 27.
We may change the Services, these Terms and any Policy at any time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, where we consider a change material, we may also notify you by email or within the Services. Changes take effect when posted unless we say otherwise. Your continued use of the Services after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not agree to a change, you must stop using the Services.
Entire agreement. These Terms and the Policies are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services. If there is a conflict between these Terms and a Policy, these Terms control unless the Policy expressly says otherwise.
Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the rest of these Terms will remain in effect.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms. We may assign or transfer them, in whole or in part, without restriction, including in connection with a sale or reorganization of our business.
Force majeure. We are not liable for any delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
No third-party beneficiaries. Except as stated in Section 22, these Terms do not give any rights to anyone other than you and us.
Notices. We may send notices to the email address associated with your account or by posting them in the Services. You may send notices to us at the address below.
Language. These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version controls.
If you download our app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us only, not Apple or Google, and that we (not Apple or Google) are responsible for the app and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation for the app, and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property infringement claims. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Section 22 and may enforce it against you.
24.1 Information may be wrong.
Information on the Services comes from many sources, including open data sources, official and tourism sources, our own research, businesses, and other members. Routes and waymarks change. Albergues close, prices change, and paths are rerouted or closed because of works, weather or fires.
We do not verify all information and do not guarantee that any of it is accurate, complete, current or suitable for you. Always check important information with official sources, local authorities and the businesses themselves, and follow waymarks and signs on the ground.
24.2 Not professional advice.
Nothing on the Services is medical, fitness, legal, travel, immigration or safety advice. Talk to a doctor before starting any demanding physical activity. Distances, statistics, levels and milestones on the Services are for motivation and record-keeping only, are based on information you or others enter, and may not be accurate.
24.3 Your safety is your responsibility.
Walking or cycling the Camino involves real risks, including exhaustion, heat, cold, dehydration, falls, injury, illness, traffic, wildlife, crime and getting lost. You are responsible for your own planning, fitness, equipment, insurance, decisions and safety. Do not use the Services in a way that distracts you while walking, cycling or near traffic.
24.4 Other people.
We do not screen, vet or run background checks on members, businesses or anyone else you may meet through the Services, and we do not supervise any meeting. Some features may show your location or plans to other members, or theirs to you. Think carefully before sharing your location or plans, meet in public places, tell someone you trust where you are, and trust your instincts. Report anyone who makes you feel unsafe.
24.5 Third-party businesses.
Accommodation, transport, tours and other businesses listed or linked on the Services are independent third parties. We are not responsible for their services, safety, prices, availability or conduct, or for any booking you make with them.
24.6 Emergencies.
The Services are not an emergency service and may not work when you need them. In an emergency, call local emergency services. The emergency number in Spain, Portugal, France and throughout the European Union is 112.
24.7 Assumption of risk and limitation of liability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you assume all risks arising from your travel, physical activity, reliance on information on the Services, and interactions with other people, and we are not liable for any injury, loss or damage resulting from them. See Sections 16 and 18.
This Section applies to anyone who claims, manages, edits or pays for a business listing on SuperCamino.
25.1 Listings belong to the directory.
We create and maintain directory listings for albergues, hotels, restaurants, services and other businesses and places along the Camino, whether or not the business has claimed them. A listing is part of our directory. Claiming a listing lets you suggest and manage certain information. It does not give you ownership of, or control over, the listing, its reviews or our directory.
25.2 Claiming a listing.
To claim a listing, you must be the owner of the business or authorized to act for it, and you must submit supporting documents we request to verify that. Claiming is currently free. We decide, in our sole discretion, whether to approve, reject or revoke any claim, and we may ask for more information at any time. You must not claim a listing you are not authorized to manage.
25.3 Your listing information.
You are responsible for keeping your listing information accurate and current, including prices, opening dates, contact details, facilities and photos. You represent that all information and material you provide is true, not misleading, and that you have the rights to it. You grant us the same license to your listing content as Section 6.2 grants for user content. We may edit, reformat, translate, correct, supplement or remove any listing information at any time.
25.4 Reviews.
Reviews are written by members and reflect their own opinions. We do not remove reviews simply because they are negative. You may report a review you believe violates our Community Guidelines, and we may allow you to reply to reviews. Whether a review is kept, edited or removed is our decision alone, and it is final. You must not post, buy, solicit or incentivize reviews of your own business, or post reviews of competitors, and you must not pressure or threaten reviewers.
25.5 Promotion.
You may promote your business only through your listing and any paid promotional features we offer. You may not advertise your business in community areas, private messages, groups or forums, or contact members for marketing purposes, unless we allow it in writing.
25.6 Paid and featured listings.
We may offer paid or featured listings or other promotional services. Any such offer will have its own price and terms, which we will show you before you buy. Paid placement is labelled where the law requires it. Paying for a listing does not affect your listing’s reviews or entitle you to any particular ranking, except as the paid feature expressly describes.
25.7 Removal.
We may remove your access to manage a listing, remove the listing, or keep the listing without your involvement, at any time and for any reason, including if a business closes or changes hands, or if you breach these terms.
25.8 Contact.
Listing questions: legal [at] supercamino.com
We respect intellectual property rights and respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) and other applicable laws.
26.1 Reporting infringement.
If you believe content on SuperCamino infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent (Section 26.4) that includes:
We may remove or disable access to content in response to a notice, and we may share the notice with the person who posted the content.
26.2 Counter-notice.
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send our designated agent a counter-notice that includes:
Under the DMCA, we may restore the content 10 to 14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notice unless the complainant tells us it has filed a court action. Restoring content under the DMCA does not limit our right to remove it under these Terms for any other reason.
26.3 Repeat infringers.
We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.
26.4 Designated agent.

We use personal information to:
If data protection laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply to you, we rely on these legal bases:
With other members and the public. Your name, profile photo and the content you post are shared according to where you post, the visibility of each feature, and your settings. Some content is visible only to signed-in members, and some may be visible to the public. Anything visible to the public can be seen by anyone, including search engines.
With service providers. We share information with companies that help us run the Services, under contracts that limit their use of it. With affiliate and booking partners. When you click a partner or affiliate link, the partner and any affiliate network receive information such as your IP address, device information and the fact that you came from SuperCamino, and they may set their own cookies. When you create an account, we may send you emails about SuperCamino, including news, updates and offers. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email or in your account settings. When we transfer personal information from the EEA, UK or Switzerland to countries that do not have an adequacy decision, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient participates in it.
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your account information within 30 days, and it may remain in backups for up to a further 90 days before being overwritten. We may keep some information longer where we need it to comply with the law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, or enforce our Terms, including information needed to prevent a banned person from returning. Content you posted in shared areas may remain in anonymized form. Aggregated or anonymized information that does not identify you may be kept indefinitely.
Tools we provide. You can update your profile, change visibility settings where a feature offers them, unsubscribe from marketing emails, turn off location access and notifications, export your data where we provide that feature, and delete your account using our Delete Account page.
Rights under data protection law. Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to data portability. To make a request, email legal [at] supercamino.com. We will verify your identity and respond as required by applicable law. We may update this policy at any time. We will post the new version with a new “Last updated” date and, if we consider the changes material, we may also notify you by email or in the Services.
