Perros

Perros is a small locality in the province of Lugo, Galicia, on the northern Samos route variant of the Camino Frances in the Oribio valley between Samos and Sarria. The name means dogs in Galician, a toponym possibly referring to a former hound-keeping estate or breeding place.

The hamlet has a compact stone farmhouse character in the riverside woodland corridor of the Oribio valley. The surrounding terrain combines river-margin woodland with the pasture and mixed forest of the Lugo valley interior.

For pilgrims, Perros is a passage point on the pleasant final valley stages of the Samos route before Sarria.
