Lestedo

Lestedo is a small locality in the province of Lugo, Galicia, on the Camino Frances on the plateau between Airexe and Palas de Rei. The hamlet has a compact stone character with a simple parish church and the rolling farmland typical of the plateau interior.

The surrounding terrain is the open rolling plateau of the Lugo interior, with oak woodland, green pasture, and the wide sky that characterises this elevated section of the Galician Camino. The approach to Palas de Rei from Lestedo follows the plateau ridge.

For pilgrims, Lestedo is a passage point on the final plateau stages before Palas de Rei, the rolling green terrain providing a consistent pastoral experience.
