Description

Edit

Cornado is a small locality in the province of A Coruña, Galicia, on the Camino de Fisterra and Muxía routes in the interior plateau west of Negreira. The locality is associated with a stone pazo, the Galician term for a manor house or noble residence, and retains the architectural traces of the rural estate culture that shaped settlement across the Galician interior.

The surrounding terrain has the rolling agricultural character of the plateau, with the stone pazo and its surrounding walls and cruceiro forming the visual anchor of the hamlet. The Camino passes through or near the hamlet on the long interior stages of the Fisterra route.
