A Roxica

A Roxica is a small locality in the province of Lugo or the A Coruña border zone, Galicia, on the merged Camino route between Baamonde and Sobrado dos Monxes. The name may relate to roxa or roca, suggesting reddish soil or rocky terrain characteristic of the local geology.

The settlement occupies the enclosed green valley landscape typical of this part of interior Galicia, where the route passes through a succession of small farmstead communities between the major historic stops.
