Villamartin Pequeño

Villamartin Pequeño is a small locality in the municipality of Abadín or the adjacent area, in the province of Lugo, Galicia, situated on the inland route between the Eo estuary coast and the city of Mondoñedo. The de Pequeño designation distinguishes it from the nearby Villamartin Grande.

The setting is the enclosed green valley terrain of the Lugo interior, with pasture, eucalyptus and oak woodland, and traditional Galician stone farmhouses with hórreo granaries. The Camino del Norte inland variant passes through this valley corridor on the long stage between Ribadeo and Mondoñedo.
