Gondan

Gondan is a small locality in the province of Lugo, Galicia, on the inland Camino del Norte route between Ribadeo and Mondoñedo. The settlement has a dispersed rural character in the enclosed green valley landscape of the Lugo interior, with stone farmhouses, hórreos, and the mixed woodland of the humid Atlantic zone.

The Masma river corridor provides the geographic thread for this section of the Camino, connecting the coastal Eo estuary area with the historic episcopal city of Mondoñedo through a succession of enclosed valleys and forested ridges.
