Descripción
Olveiroa is a small village in the municipality of Dumbría, in the province of A Coruña, Galicia. It is one of the most significant waypoints on the Camino de Fisterra and Muxía routes, as it is the last inhabited settlement before the official split where pilgrims must choose between continuing to Fisterra or turning northward to Muxía.
The village has a compact traditional character, with a cluster of old stone farmhouses and the municipal albergue that serves as the last major overnight stop before the two final stages. The surrounding landscape is the open Galician plateau at the start of the westward descent toward the Atlantic.
For pilgrims, Olveiroa carries considerable emotional weight as the decision point that determines the final destination of their journey.
